Split Heat Pumps

Split Heat Pumps

The split heat pump work like a reversible air conditioning system. In hot weather, a heat pump system will take off the hot air from a room and replace it with cool air. In cold weather, the process reversed. The system transmits the heat outside into your home. A heat pump moves heat instead of creating it. That makes heat pumps less expensive to run than traditional cooling and heating systems.

Split Air Conditioners

Split Air Conditioners

A split air conditioner consists of an outdoor unit and an indoor unit. An indoor unit is installed on the interior wall of the room that you wish to cool. This unit set up the compressor, condenser coil, and the expansion coil or capillary tubing. The sleek-looking indoor unit contains a cooling coil, a long blower, and an air filter.

Package Heat Pumps

A packaged heat pump unit is an all-in-one or self-contained heat pump typically used for mobile home, apartment, condo or commercial applications. Unlike split heat pumps, packaged heat pumps include all the main components inside one unit that is located completely outside the living space.

Gas Pack Units

Gas Packaged Units

Gas pack units also known as gas packaged units are similar to package air conditioners except that they include a gas furnace system for heating instead of electric heat strips. Gas pack systems are typically installed on rooftops or ground level and are popular in mobile homes, condos, apartments and commercial buildings.

Furnaces

Gas and Oil Furnace

A furnace, referred to as a heater or boiler, is a heating unit used to heat up an entire building. Furnaces are mostly used as a major component of a central heating system. Furnaces are permanently installed to provide heat to an interior space through intermediary fluid movement, which may be air, steam, or hot water. Heating appliances that use steam or hot water as the fluid are normally referred to as a residential steam boiler or residential hot water boiler. The most common fuel source for modern furnaces is natural gas; other common fuel sources include LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), fuel oil and in rare cases coal or wood. In some areas electrical resistance heating is used, especially where the cost of electricity is low or the primary purpose is for air conditioning. Modern high-efficiency furnaces can be up to 98% efficient and operate without a chimney, with a typical gas furnace being about 80% efficient.

Air Handlers

Air Handling Unit

An air handler, or air handling unit (often abbreviated to AHU), is a device used to regulate and circulate air as part of a heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system. An air handler is usually a large metal box containing a blower, heating or cooling elements, filter racks or chambers, sound attenuators, and dampers. Air handlers usually connect to a ductwork ventilation system that distributes the conditioned air through the building and returns it to the AHU. Sometimes AHUs discharge (supply) and admit (return) air directly to and from the space served without ductwork.
